On invitation of Chengdu Business Daily, Wanda Group Chairman Wang Jianlin made a speech about Wanda’s culture industry in Chengdu, Sichuan Province on December 25.

At the 20th anniversary of establishment of the newspaper, Wang introduced Wanda’s culture industry development, explained the reason why Wanda entered the culture industry, and expounded on several topics including business mode and characteristics of Wanda’s culture industry.

“Before 2020, Wanda will become one of the world’s top 10 cultural enterprises because China is developing fast and its aggregate GDP will surpass the US in 2025 ,” said Wang, adding that Wanda is trying to make itself a world-class cultural brand and contribute to China’s soft power construction.

After the speech, Wang also interacted with the audience and answered a number of questions.
